Kathy grew up in Sacramento, California where she attended St. Mel’s Catholic School. She graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies. She enjoyed the post-college years working in wildland fire as a firefighter and dispatcher in Craig, Colorado. In 1998, she and her husband, Tim, moved to Carson City to be closer to family. Kathy then got her Teaching Certificate from Sierra Nevada College.

Kathy is married, has 2 children, and a dog. She loves to ski, bike and hike with family and friends.  She says it is an honor to work with such a wonderful, dedicated staff and be a part of a positive, faith filled learning environment.
