Part of St. Teresa's goal to foster community, parent participation is both encouraged and welcomed.

To ensure a top level education and positive experience for our students, St. Teresa

St. Teresa School students receive thirty minutes of Catholic religious education daily. Other religious activities include: daily all-school gathering and prayer service, daily opening and closing prayers, monthly school Mass, seasonal prayer services, First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation for second graders, and priests' visitations and instruction. Classes adopt service projects each year to assist the larger parish and/or community.

Parent involvement is the key to St. Teresa School's success. Every family has a minimum obligation of thirty volunteer hours each school year. Parents are also expected to support school fundraisers such as the SCRIP program, as well as the Christmas Benefit, Basque Festival, and Walk Jog-a-Thon. All St. Teresa parents are members of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Opportunities for parental leadership are available through the School Board, PTO, and the Technology Committee.

St. Teresa School policies include:

  • Respect for the individual needs of every child in our school.
  • A warm and nurturing atmosphere in a safe setting.
  • Open and daily communication with families.
  • A professional faculty and staff committed to childhood development and success.
  • A learning environment with opportunities for creativity and exploration.
