Generous donors

We are very thankful for some recent donations to the Child Development Center.

*Western Nevada Supply provided a new water heater.

*Greg Petersen of Petersen Plumbing Services donated his time and expertise to install the water heater.

*Jerry Mellow of Tahoe Fence donated his workers' time to install support poles for our new shade structure.

We certainly appreciate our benefactors' generosity.

Enthusiastic Students Begin New Year

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School - Sunday, September 12, 2010
On August 23 St. Teresa of Avila Child Development Center began a new academic year for our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students.  One four-year-old said on the first day of school, "I waited all summer for this day."  Her sentiments echoed those of many other students and our dedicated staff.

We welcomed several new students and families, and all have quickly embraced the flow of our daily activities, routines, and experiences. One mom said, "She didn't cry on the first day, so I went out to my car and cried."

We still have two openings for students in our Preschool three-year-old program.  If you would like to visit our school, call 283-0261 and ask for Director Jan Sullivan to schedule an appointment.
